The information from the job task analysis was used to define the IT Architect Body of Knowledge. We took the skills and organized them into pillars that seem to make sense and from that we are developing our content, our training, the tools that are needed, and creating communities and special interest groups.

Our goal in all of this is to take our current state which is an environment where were all find path and approach to learning about and practicing architecture, and where most projects are failures because they don’t come in on time or on budget. Even worse is when they don’t solve the business problems they are started for. We believe we can correct many of these challenges through common skills, tools, and training and that is why we are creating the body of knowledge.
